About Ross
State Representative Ross McGregor is currently serving his third elected term in the Ohio General Assembly. He represents the 72nd District which includes Springfield, New Carlisle, Enon, Medway, Donnelsville, Bethel Township, Springfield Township and Mad River Township.
Ross succeeded Merle Grace Kearns in the Ohio House of Representatives when she was named the Director of the Ohio Department of Aging. Since taking office, Ross has worked hard to continue her tradition of commitment to our community and giving the 72nd District a strong voice in the legislature. He hosts regular monthly office hours and values constituent input.
Ross currently serves as the chairman of both the Joint Committee on Agency Rule Review as well as the Finance and Appropriations Transportaion sub-committee. He also serves on the following standing committees: Finance and Appropriations; Commerce and Labor; Insurance; and Transportation, Public Safety, and Homeland Security. In addition to his standing committee assignments, Ross also serves on the Ohio Commission on Minority Health, Ohio Commission on African American Males, the Ohio African American Hall of Fame Board of Advisors and was appointed to the Governors Auto Industry Support Council.
Ross works as an executive in his family’s business Pentaflex, Inc. Pentaflex is a manufacturer of components and assemblies for the automotive, heavy truck, agricultural and solar industries. Ross has spent his professional career in manufacturing in strategic positions such as purchasing, global sales, enterprise and human resource management. Ross started his manufacturing experience in High School and credits much of his people skills to an education that can only be learned on the shop floor. Ross continues to be active in the business focusing on strategic planning initiatives and as a member of the Board of Directors. He is active in manufacturing groups as a member of the National Association of Manufacturers, Ohio Manufacturers Association, and Precision Metal Forming Association of the Ohio Valley. McGregor is also the president of Champion City Development Company, located in Springfield.
Ross is a life-long resident of Springfield where he resides with his wife, Dr. Cathy Crompton and dog Mac.
